So i often end up building 0-1 and just use what i have.īut it depends a lot on the circumstances, example if you start with the random research perk and get the colony upgrades + another eco tech, you're already 5+ turns ahead of the game. Spending 2 turns on a scout is quite a lot when the first 10-20 turns are deciding the whole map. ![]() And the area recon is priceless.īut fact is that you already are under extreme pressure in building combat units, defenses, colonizers just to keep up with the AI and expand/defend fast enough. Ideally you would have like 5 or more - the pickups alone are paying each of them back multiple times.
